We awoke this morning to the roar of rolling thunder… accompanied by several (count ’em!) drops of rain (the first in six months). And then…the after smells of an August rain!

Awakening memories from childhood, standing in tall dry grass in drier soil, scattered raindrops splatting against my cheeks and forehead, gazing about in wonder and anticipation.

It’s a great day!
